Legal aspects of the Zagreb-based water treatment concession project

Sažetak
Major legal aspects of the concession for infrastructure facilities to be realized for the CUPOVZ project are described. General features of BOT projects are presented and the structure of such projects is described in detail. Main reasons why authorities prefer the BOT model are listed and described. Basic elements of the contract between the grantor (City of Zagreb) and the concessionaire are described and an overview of their mutual obligations is presented. Legal foundations for awarding concession contracts are explained. A wider significance of this project is highlighted.
