Abstracts This paper presents a comparative evaluation of ten well known and widely used packages for manufacturing simulation. These packages have been evaluated on the basis of various case studies in a real and hypothetical manufacturing environments. Following an evaluation and comparison, the suitability of packages for specific purposes is determined.
