Sažetak

A proper selection of plant material is very important in designing public green areas. Except for aesthetic functions, a special attention should also be paid to the way these areas will be maintained. It is a big problem in smaller towns where there are no bigger utility services. Therefore, these areas are rarely maintained, or at least not to a necessary extent. Except for its functionality and aesthetic criteria, we make the maintenance of public green areas easier by using not too demanding plant material in terms of cultivation.
