Sažetak

Because of the markedly negative trend in cattle production in recent years, it is necessary for the Government to stimulate and financially support primarily the production, selection and reproduction of livestock in the Republic of Croatia. In order to achieve this annually financial resources should be allocated from the State budget in order to promote and support certain agricultural production of special interest for the market of the Republic of Croatia. Based on the legal regulations which cover the financial stimulation in agriculture, the Agriculture and Livestock Inspection carried out 358 controls and made 298 reports in 1995. These figures indicate a significant increase in the same activities compared to previous years.
