Sažetak

There were observed parameters of growth and meat production in 1 741 of Czech Pied bulls in fattening control stations, slaughtered in years 2000 and 2001. There was found average daily gain in testing period 1 124 g, slaughter weight 593,77 kg, dressed carcass weight 332,51 kg, weight of kidney fat 10,11 kg and dressing percentage 55,93 % in observed bulls. Bulls with the highest relative breeding values (RBV) of sires for protein percentage showed the lowest values of growth and meat production and the highest weight of
kidney fat compared to bulls with medial and lowest RBV of sires. Sons of sires with the highest RBV for milk protein amount grew up the best and got fat least and therewithal daughters of these sires showed the highest milk protein yield. There were found the highest values of growth and meat production in bulls with the highest RBV of sires for milk amount. This confirms, that dual-purpose cattle can reach very good milk as well as meat production.
