A shield for protection of testis of the staff occupational exposed to ionizing radiation

Sažetak
A simple safety device for the protection of the testis of the staff occupationally exposed to radiation which the author has been applying since 1942, is described. The author believes that this is the first device for direct protection of gonads presented so far. It can be used as an additional safety device beside safety aprons for all people working with radiation sources not exceeding 150-200 kV among whom 91 percent belong to the staff employed in the institutions for medical application of radiation. The safety shield is believed to considerably improve the protection of gonads of all people occupationally exposed to radiation.
