Sažetak

This paper gives us insight in the language irregularites in the public places in Gospić.By exploring of the names of streets, parts of town,traffic signs,public posters, advertisments and supermarkets, the language irregularities are visible on the all language levels, so the solutions in accordance to orthography, grammar and lexical norms are suggested.The influence of the English language is seen on the lexical as well as on the sintaxical level. The concern for Croatian standard language should be pointed out in this context.
