Sažetak Simple spectrophotometric method for determination of small quantities (traces) of phosphorus in inorganic material and organophosphorus compounds Dipterex, Isopestox and Parathion is described, The method is based on the development of blue colour of phosphomolibdate resulting from the reaction between the phosphates present in the sample and the reagent containing the molibdate, The method ,is rapid simple and reliable. The sensitivity of the method is about 10 µg P205 in 50 ml of the solution. In the interval up to 100 µg P205 in 50 ml of the solution the intensity of colour is proportional to the concentration of the phosphate, Physico-chemical characteristics of the blue coloured phosphomolibdate have been 1iinvsestigated.
