Sažetak
The problem of ancylostomiasis and infections by other intestinal parasites in Jugoslav mines was investigated by the staff of the out-patients department for occupational diseases in Sarajevo. A simple of about 50 stools was collected in every pit. The analysis was carried out by the modified Faust method using. ZnSO4 According to the results the infection of stools is widespread. The highest percentage of infected stools was found in Kreka ( 96%), the lowest in Mostar (36%). In Mostar, trichocephalus was found in larger proportion than ascaris, while in other mines the ascarides was more common. Rabditiform larvae of strongyloides were found in Kakanj. There was also one case of infection by the ancylostoma larvae, and one by the ancylostoma eggs. Both cases were so weak that no clinical symptoms could be detected. The prophylactic measures concerning intestinal parasites are also discussed
