Sažetak

A coin as a foreign body in oesophagus is common in little children. A child puts more coins in the mouth and accidentally swallows them. Series of symptoms appear: heavy and painful swallowing, drooling, and feeling of suffocation or odd behaviour of the child. The paper presents four children aged between 14 months and 5 years, who swallowed coins. Three of them had more than one foreign body in oesophagus. We described the symptoms, showed the most appropriate procedures in solving problems and expressed our opinion on the emergency status.
