Sažetak On the occasion of Jakov Jelinčić turning 75, in this article we publish the abbreviated overview of his life’s path, professional development and results of his scientific work. He has authored over a hundred articles in scientific journals, professional magazines and several books. He was a long-time archivist at the National Archives in Pazin, where he worked from 1967 until his retirement in 2003. He obtained a master’s degree and received all professional archival titles and series of awards. One of his more ambitious achievements in the field of archival science is the inventory of the parish archives of the Poreč and Pula diocese, on which he was working in the 70s and early 80s of the 20th century.
