Sažetak
This book represents a legal analysis of various types of securities for ship financing existing withing Yugoslav and comparative law and in accordance with international instruments, while special attention is paid to modern business practice. It contains and introductory part, a presentation of the types of real and contractual securities, such as hypothec and mortgage, reservation of title to the ship, pledge of claims, assignment of claims, insurance of credits, special forms of morgagee's insurance, contracts of guaranty and contracts of indemnity, concluding remarks and a tabulated list concerning the indebtedness of the Yugoslav Merchant Marine in the period from 1965 to 1988.
This book is a valuable work in the field of maritime law and we would recommend it to all those concerned with the theory and practice of ship financing.
