Sažetak

This article explains the specifics of the BGP protocol and the difference between it and other classic protocols like OSPF and IGRP. The purpose of the BGP protocol and its key capabilities are outlined in the article along with the key attributes of the BGP protocol and their purpose. The emphasis of the article is on the ability to manipulate the BGP protocol using its attributes and how local administrators can influence traffic in their AS, as well as the adjacent autonomous systems
