Sažetak

Potentially negative impact of pesticides on human health, environment and biodiversity has influenced on scientific researches in weed and weed managment. Analyzing the working sections of individual EWRS Symposium (from 14th Symposium at Hamar, Norway to 18th Symposium in Ljubljana, Slovenia), the focus was placed on the following areas of scientific research: weed biology, weed ecology, culture‐weed interaction, non‐chemical weed control, integrated weed control, new approaches, technology and challenges, weed resistance, invasive species and chemical weed control. Many papers cover more than one area of research. All these areas have the same share in the symposium content, All suggests the necessity of integrating all available knowledge in the field of weed control in the weed control system.
