Sažetak

In a recent paper1 we haive descriibed the synthesis of !Tacemic 2-methyl-3, 4-diaminononadecane (la) and of 4,5-diaminoeicosane (lib), where also a suwey of the literature on necrosamine is to be found. The .reaction has been effected with 2-methyl-3-.phthalimido-4-nonadecanone (Ila) and 4-phthalimido-5-eicos.anone (Illb) as intermediate COl!DtPOnents. In the course of ou!T investigation we have applied ·several different routes in endeavor to convert both ketones into the diamines. In fact , the route descdbed in this paper did not lead to the expected bases, tbut the compouinds which were obtained can be regarded as derivatives o.f them.
