Sažetak

SUMMARY: Our modern way of life causes enormous amounts of waste to be deposited at waste disposal sites, thus making it imperative to use the waste gas as fuel. The paper presents various modes of using waste gas as a source of energy, focusing on traditional and on more recent, innovative methods. Some technologies are analysed using techno-economical comparisons.
