Sažetak
The author in the article discusses the influence of globalisation and neoliberal economy on the system of university education and examines whether the intellectual integrity of academic teachers and associates has been preserved due to increase of students population and at the same time stagnation of financial sources for university education system. In other words, is it still possible for universities while being under the influence of economic imperative to preserve their role of advocates of Humboldt model of university education which implies a unity of research and teaching? In this respect the author explores solutions de lege lata and proposes solutions de lege ferenda.
