Sažetak Although the roots of the sociology of religion reach back into the past
century, it was only after the latest World War that this science has
come into its full swing. The author deals with some of the most recent
theories of the sociology of religion: politological sociology of religion,
sociology of religious market, sociology of invisible religion, functiona-
listic sociologv of religion, sociology of secular religion, sociology of
implicit religion, sociology of diffuse religion, sociology of folk religion
and sociology of new religious movements and sects. At the end the
author gives a short description of the dangers and impulses stemming
from the above mentioned sociological theories for our christian faith.
