Sažetak
Singing, listening to music and the elements of the musical creativity are
musical teaching areas of the subject Music in the elementary school, that are
consciously (respecting as more as possible the methodology of teaching music) or
unconsciously (not respecting the requirements of the methodology of teaching music
because the religion teachers are not acquainted enough with the methodology of
teaching music) used for musical creativity in teaching the subject of Catholic
religion.
The article is to emphasise the role of singing, listening to music and the
elements of the musical creativity within the lessons of music according to the
methodology of music teaching, and at the same time it is to state their functional or
purposeful role in teaching Catholic religion.
For the use of musical creativity within the religion lessons it is first necessary
that a religion teacher has a musical predisposition (unfortunately not innate to a lot
of teachers) and consciousness and knowledge of the role of singing, listening to
music and the elements of the musical creativity according to the methodology of
music teaching. To coordinate the theory with the practice the teachers should even
ask for help, professional advice from music teachers for any of musical activities
that they want to perform during the lesson of Catholic religion and should carry out
lessons as more as possible according to the instructions of the music teaching
methodology. In this way the irregularities in musical acting of the religion teacher
will be removed, the integrated teaching and professional cooperation of the music
and religion teachers will be achieved, all that with the aim of the complete (human,
social, cultural, religious, etc.) education of the pupils in the elementary school.
