Sažetak

The author analyzes eight so far unpublished water-colors preserved in the Archives of the Chapter of Zadar. They were made by the Split painter Petar Zečević (1807-1876). The pictures show well-known figures of their time — archbishops Stjepan Cupilli, Pacifico Bizza, and Ivan Topić; the noblemen Ivan Luka Garagnin, and the poet Leonardo Dudan. There is also a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte. There are two more water-colors in the same collection, of General Marko Sinovčić, and an imaginary landscape, most likely by the same artist. It is believed that the water-colors belonged to Ivan Gurat, a canon of Zadar Cathedral (1804-1874), collector of art works and historical memorabilia.
