INFLUENCE OF MANAGEMENT LEVEL ON ECONOMIC RESULTS OF FAMILY DAIRY FARMS

Sažetak
The efficiency and the profitability of a farm are directly influenced by farm management which includes defined technical-technological and organizational production processes. Economic results of dairy production are directly related to the level of management which must be appropriate for the related farm according to the type of production. The same principles of relations between dairy production results and the level of management can be applied on family farms in the Republic of Croatia as well. The aim of this study is to determine the influence of management level on economic results of six family dairy farms (experimental and control group) in the north-west part of Koprivničko-križevačka county, i. e. to investigate and to determine the difference in the milk production efficiency with respect to the implementation of modern management. As main factors technological parameters have been used to determine the influence of management. The study has shown that the level of management is influenced by production technologies used on family dairy farms. It has also shown significant deviation in the level of management which is reflected on production results (milk yield). The comparison of technological indicators shows the differences in the level of milk production efficiency per farm and per cow. The relations between the level of management on family dairy farms with different production technologies and in different conditions, have been determined. The technological and business advice has had an impact on the production results.
