»Die grenzenlose Macht wagen. Zur christlichen Interpretation des nietzscheanischen ‘Willens zur Macht’ von Krzysztof Michalski«
Piotr Kubasiak
Sažetak
Although the theme “will to power” had already been discussed extensively by academics, Michalski attempted to identify the potential of this idea for Christianity. For him the “will to power” corresponds to the main intentions of St. Paul. In Michalski’s interpretation, the “will to power” describes man as a being in
the making. This process of becoming, however, does not signify a development to “something” but a permanent overcoming of the existing state. An overcoming of what makes us stay small and blocks us and our ability to unfold to a maximum. Paul, who understood himself as serving the Gospel, meant to change the reality,
he wants to help me to proceed beyond my life. To go further, could we not say that, apart from our love, the gift of the Word of God is for Christians what was described above as the main function of the “will to power”?
