A note on the existence of a hypothetic high-temperature h. c. p. cobalt allotrope

Abstract
Cobalt samples quenched from the melt contain CoO precipitates. This fact is a basis for a reinterpretation of the presence of presumptive high-temperature h. c. p. y-Co allotrope in the sense of a precipitation-hardening of low-temperature ε-Co form.
