Sažetak

Making use of the ideas of particle-core coupling as applied to the study of odd-odd nuclei, a detalied description of nuclear structure in the 186 - 200Tl nuclei is given. The importance of the proton-neutron interaction is emphasized in outlining multiplets for specific proton and neutron orbitals. It is also shown how particle-core quadrupole coupling induces an „effective“ proton-neutron quadrupole force with a quadratic dependence on the multiplet angular momentum i. e. the parabolic rule is regained.
