TEACHERS' EDUCATION IN THE EUROPEAN CONCEPT OF EDUCATION QUALITY BASED ON COMPETENCES

Sažetak
Professional competence of teachers is very important for every country,
since it is through the work of these teachers, based on basic knowledge, habits and
skills of children. Kompetencione development activity occurs as a result of the
study, planned the curriculum established at universities. Colleges and later organized
his work, may affect the acquisition of competencies, which are adjusted to reflect the
characteristics of educational level. The teacher, as well as supporting the profession
of education, are required to be open to changes in the paradigms of education, goals,
forms, contents and methods of teaching and learning scientific knowledge.
Professionalism as the new competencies of teachers placed before them a whole new
concept of tasks aimed at the lifelong education of teachers, and students. Approach
to teacher education based on the compe ¬ ficient has value as part of initial training.
Useful for teachers to acquire specific skills that are needed in the classroom.
Contemporary educational trends in the world are focused on lifelong learning, since
the main purpose of education in the 21st century the creation of a knowledge society.
Education is the basis of progress and because numerous studies, monographs and
documents, particularly the EU, seeks to further the goals of education policy in the
future. This paper reviews the development of professional competence of teachers
and teacher education in the spirit of the European concept of education.
