Sažetak

The influence of different tillage treatments on the moisture content in soil and yield of soybean grain (Glycine max L.) was investigated at the College of Agriculture in Križevci during 2009. In addition, the influence of tillage and soil moisture on the total content of fat and protein in soybean grain was investigated. The highest yield of soybean grain was in intensive tillage treatment (variant E), but these differences were not significant (p> 0.05). The highest total protein content in soybean grain was produced by reduced tillage (variant B), and total fat in the intensive tillage treatment (variant E). More favorable results concerning the content of physiologically active and optimal soil moisture were obtained mainly on the reduced tillage treatments. The most favourable condition of the content of physiologically active and optimal soil moisture was found in reduced tillage (variant A) in the flowering stage. The highest content of inaccessible soil moisture was recorded for intensive tillage
treatment at the harvesting stage. Negative correlations were found between total protein and fat content in soybean grain in all tillage treatments and they were statistically justified only in variants B and D (p <0.01). Since one year is too short a period for making precise conclusions, the research should continue.
