Sažetak

Scardona, which most likely attained the status of municipality
during the Flavian era, was the seat of the conventus iuridicus and
the Liburnian provincial imperial cult. Contemporary Skradin has
overlaid Roman Scardona. During construction works on a new
sewage system for the town of Skradin, three Roman milestones
were discovered on the main street, which proves the existence
of a Roman road beneath it. This road led to the crossroads at the
Maraguša site and further to Asseria. The precise location of the
crossing over the Krka River by the Roman road which leads from
Scardona eastward to Rider cannot be precisely ascertained. The
ford over the Krka at Cape Pećine on a section of the medieval
Šibenik-Skradin road may be considered.
