Sažetak

This article is centred towards analysis of ways on which educators in Zagreb kindergartens estimate the possibilities of the inclusion of the children with ADHD into regular preschool programs. These possibilities include assessments of abilities and limits of this children’s group, educators’ competences for their education and their attitudes and assessments of the other inclusion conditions of preschool children with ADHD. The analysis is based on a survey
of 122 educators from 9 kindergartens of Zagreb. Research has proven that the educators’ assessments about their own competences for working with these children are low and that there is a high level of awareness about the specificity of that disability. Those specifities imply collaboration of all participants of education and rehabilitation process and the adoption of methodical-didactical access using a way which will make the socialization of children with ADHD easier. The given differences between educators regarding work experience with this group of children are medium and they usually relate to assessments of the children’s features themselves. The authors are point at the need of stronger engagement of the community in making inclusive educational praxis better, especially ensuring a expert support to the educators and their systematic education of an better quality.
