PHYSICAL LOAD AND EXERCISE-INDUCED BRONCHOSPASM
Gordan Vidović
Sažetak
Exercise is a non-pharmacological, non-immunological, non-specific stimulus which causes bronchoconstriction in most asthmatic patients. Only a few studies have investigated bronchial reaction to exercise in normal and rhinitis subjects or the effect of non-specific bronchial reactivity and allergy on the intensity of bronchial reaction. Although the opinion that constant exercise stimulates bronchospasm more effectively than the incremental protocol has been widely accepted, few studies have directly compared the two exercise tests, and the results are controversial. .
