Sažetak
The second season of excavation at Tell Jalul shed light on several problems that were left unanswered (nature and function of wall in Field A, location of the city gate in Field B) during the first season. Athird Field (Field C) was also opened. Thus, the team worked simultaneously in three fields during this season of excavation. It is probable that the wall in Field A served as a city wall. In addition, an impressive tripartite pillared building was discovered in the same field. Another room was revealed in the square 5, which has the earliest living surface (9th century B.C.) discovered so far at Teli Jalul. In Field B one chamber of city gate was discovered, and in Field C, two phases of a building with impressive walls, with about 2 meters standing above the floor. According to the excavators, at Tell Jalul there were 14 phases of human activity. Five of them were occupational, representing the fact that the site was occupied from the 9th to the 4th century B.C.
