The importance and necessity of bio-engineering methods of solving the problems of soil erosion and landslides

Sažetak
Bio-engineering methods include knowledge in the field of biology and technical skills in solving problems of soil erosion and landslide. This problem may be caused due to impact of nature and an anthropological impact. The basic feature of this method is the use of living plant materials, and their choice of course depends on the creditworthiness of the soil and the complexity of the problem that has to be solved, as well as the elements of landscaping. Also used other materials, such as stone, wires, panels, logs, geotextile, biodegradable adhesives, and substances which influence the quality of the soil as a nutritional medium. The work also describes possible methods, such as hydroseeding, building gabions and building terraces with various bio-engineering techniques. As conclusion it has to be emphasized the importance of sanitation of any type of devastation space in terms of landscaping decoration.
