A note on the root subspaces of real semisimple Lie algebras

Sažetak
In this note we prove that for any two restricted roots $\alpha,$ $\beta$ of a real semisimple Lie algebra $\gg,$ such that $\alpha+\beta\not=0,$ the corresponding root subspaces satisfy $[\gg_{\alpha},\gg_{\beta}]=\gg_{\alpha+\beta}$.
