Sažetak
This paper is a result of current exploring in field of indoor positioning and navigation, which is based on paperwork made for subject Integrated systems in geomatics (master study of Geodetic faculty University of Zagreb, department of geomatics). Seeing that the question of indoor determination of position and navigation (where availability of GPS signal is limited) one of the most common today, it’s logical that alternative methods are needed. Although in the last couple of years it was considered indoor GPS was not possible, today things look different. In this paper indoor propagation of GNSS signal will be described, and usage of alternative methods and solutions as pseudolites, navigation methods based on radio frequency and integration of different sensors, all in purpose of indoor navigation. Some specific examples of system development like Fing, Navatar, In-Location are given in paper. Development in technology is very high, expectations are that sensor minimization will cause massive development of alternative positioning and navigation methods. Although the field is well explored there is still space for progress.
