A method for density measurement of milk by means of a pycnometer

Sažetak
A method for application of modern analytical single-pan balances in density measurements of milk by means of a pycnometer is described in short in this paper. The proposed method is based on mass measurement of the pycnometer (when it is empty, when it is filled with distilled water and when it is filled with milk) and on comparison of density of distilled water with density of milk, with temperature remaining the same. This method eliminates significant systematic errors and enables measurement, i.e. determination of density of milk with high accuracy.
