HEALTHIER LIFE WITH OLIGOMERIC PROANTHOCYANIDIN

Sažetak

In the course of his Ph.D. work Prof. Jack Masqueliersby pure chance discovered oligomericproanthocy anidin(OPC), which belong to the group of Polyphenols containing usually two, three or four flavan-3-ol molecules. After years of research he patented a method for extraction of OPC molecules from the seeds of grape and crust of the pine tree Piniepinusmaritima, whereby the first showed an extreme concentration of the substance. OPC presents a very powerful antioxidant which neutralizes free radicals, as the principal cause of many diseases developed by its negative effects on the membranes of cells, protecting in that way cells from their degradation.It has an ability of connection with proteins, especially collagen and elastin fostering resistance of the blood and lymphatic vessels. It is important to accentuate its positive effects on human immune system. Recommended daily capsular dosage is 50-100 mg, while there are not known its side effects or interactions with other medicines, a part of very rare stomach upsets reported in few cases.Application of the OPC as a supplement to normal conscious daily nutriment can have an extreme positive effects on immune system, vitality and overwhelming health of men.
