Sažetak
The authors present their seven-year experience with patients suffering from coagulopathy, mainly hemophilia , who were treated at the Clinic for Jaw, Facial and Oral Surgery in Zagreb. The authors, together with the blood specialists at the Center for Hemophilia , planned preoperaitive medications and postoperative treatment. Postoperative hemorrhaging occurred in three of 33 patients, abscess in orne and a bleeding ulcer on the duodenum in one. There is an unjustified fear of doing dental wortcon hemophiliacs among dentists and the refore when patients do require treatment, the interventions are usually extraction, aiveotomy, incisions, apicotomy, etc. Greater care for these patients, that is, improving the prevention and treatment of carious teeth, would significantly reduce the need for more serious interventions.
