Field survey of the left bank of the middle course of the Glogovnica river (Tučenik, Buzadovec, Poljana Križevačka, Cubinec)

Sažetak
The field survey of the left bank of the middle course of the Glogovnica river, on the stretch between the Tučenik village in the Zagreb County and Cubinec in the Koprivnica-Križevci County was carried out with a view to gaining insight into the habitation of that area through archaeological periods, in order to create a micro-topography of this important communication space. As early as 2011 and 2012 the Institute of Archaeology carried out salvage archaeological excavations at three sites (Buzadovec-Vojvodice AS 3, Poljana Križevačka AS 4 and AS 5) in the area on the route of the future motorway A 12 Sv. Helena – BC Gola, section Gradec – Kloštar Vojakovački. The excavations yielded the remains of settlements (and cemeteries) from the Copper Age, Early Bronze Age, Late Bronze Age, Late Iron Age and Late Middle Ages (Ložnjak Dizdar 2012; Dizdar 2013; Tkalčec 2013). A total of 28 positions with surface archaeological finds were documented in the 2013 field survey, mostly belonging to the above-mentioned periods. Late medieval finds were discovered at 25 sites. Most of those sites showed recognizable traces of continuity into the Modern period. Only two sites yielded the remains that pointed to the start of habitation at the beginning of the Early Modern period, while habitation during the Antiquity was ascertained at only three sites. A total of 16 sites showed evidence of life during the prehistory, most commonly in the Bronze Age (8), in the Late Iron Age (7) and the Copper Age (4). More than a half of the registered sites yielded evidence of stratified habitation (15).
