Sažetak
An overview is given of determining position of a point determined by forward intersection on the condition that two given points in which angles are measure toward an unknown point are known and error-free. Accuracy estimation of forward intersection can be found in references, but derivations of corresponding formulas are sometimes erroneous. In some cases, derivations are correct, but conclusions are not. Furthermore, there are some correct but incomplete derived formulas. This paper emphasizes observed shortcomings and completes one of the incomplete derivations. The conclusion is that the optimal position of a point determined by forward intersection is not at an intersection of perpendicular straight lines.
