Sažetak
Fluency shaping is one way of changing disfluent speech behaviours in stuttered speech. Applying those procedures can be difficult with children, especially those who stutter severely and have strong secondary characteristics. In this article the development of a procedure to help such children is explained; this is called The Five Finger Rules (FFR). During the last seven years these have been shown to be of value in individual and group therapy with children, with adolescents and even adults who stutter. Parents have found them useful too.
