Sažetak

The paper gives comparative analysis of properties of tribological coatings obtained by thermo chemical processes - classical vanadizing coating and vanadizing coating with prior carburization of the substrate, used as protection against abrasive wear. Properties of coating hardness, substrate hardness underneath the coating and abrasive wear resistance of the coating are compared. The comparative analysis proved justification for introduction of carburization of the substrate prior to vanadizing process because of abrasive wear resistance increase.
