PROTECTION OF NATURE IN THE EDUCATION OF TEACHERS

Sažetak

The protection of nature in the education of teachers should be directed, in extremely complex areas, to two levels: the level of the protection of nature connected with the fields of biological and ecological as well as the technical protection of the environment and the level of protection of nature education connected with the fields of the didactics of ecology. The work on emotional level at the encounters with the nature is important for the teachers education in the protection of nature as it appears to be the necessary assumption for the development and improvement of the perception of nature. The concept of guided encounters with nature and experiencing of the nature can be developed on the following principles: directness, independence, cooperation, consciousness and ability to be active. The situational integration of the aspects of the protection of nature is particularly effective during all forms of work in free nature - at these moments it is possible to join the moments of direct experience with the moment of the acquisition of knowledge and facts. As the examples of integration of the protection of nature subjects in the education of teachers, two relatively complete proČgrams are mentioned: cycle of lectures and seminars on the subject „Special didactics: protection of nature“ at the Department of Biology of the Faculty of Pedagogy in Flensburg (Schleswig-Holstein) and the pilot project „Protection of nature and environment on the spot“ in Nordrhein-Westfalen, the most populated federal district. The teachers employed in all kinds of schools are given free access to the project.
