Sažetak
In this work the survival of actinomycets strains of various series in media with higher concentrations of phenol was investigated. Phenol concentrations of 200, 500, 750, 1000 and 1500 mg/1 were used.
Besides the survival of the strains, the change of the pigmentation of the vegetative and aerial mycelium at increasing concentrations of phenol in media was investigated.
It has been established that most of the strains survived at 750 mg/1 phenol, but with the increase of the phenol concentration their number decreased rapidly. Thus, from 160 tested strains of actinomycètes only 14 strains showed the growth at 1500 mg/1 of phenol in media.
The highest survival was found for the members of the series Fra- diae, but the other series, because of the small number of investigated strains in the latter series.
The investigations have established the change of colour of the vegetative and aerial mycelium at phenol concentration of 750 mg/1, the depigmentation of both of mycelia in the members of 7 series when the concentration was 1000 mg/1, the depigmention of the vegetative and the absence of the aerial mycelium have been observed in all survived strains at 1500 mg/ of phenol in media.
