A Contribution to the Knowledge of the Water-Plant Vegetation in Croatia

Sažetak
The water-plant vegetation composed of the species Hydrocharis morsus-ranae and Stratiotes alloides has been investigated in Croatia only in the ornithological reservation of Krapje đol, and it belongs to the association Hydrocharo-Stratiotetum. This association — a new discovered plant community in the vegetation of Croatia — is now classified in the alliance Hydrocharition, order Hydrocharitetalia and class Potametea; thus the syntaxonomical review can be as follows:

The results from Krapje dol were compared with our own data from the ornithological reservation Obedska bara (Serbia) and also with the data of Slavnic (1956) from the Mostonga river (Serbia).
