Sažetak

Acorus calamus — a plant of swamps originating from south-east Asia has been spread over Europe since the middle of the 16th century; although widely spread it is usually very rare everywhere. Because of its healing properties A. calamus was cultivated at one time, but it refused cultivation so that with regard to the time of its immigration it could be marked as an Asiatic neophyte and with regard to its relation to mankind as an ergasiofigophyte.
In the flora of Croatia the species A. calamus is very rare and known from a few habitats only. These are Luksic near Karlovac, Cesma-Obe- disce, Jakusevac near Zagreb, the Sava Valley (Hb ZA) and the most recent habitat Tisina near Sisak.
From the vegetational point of view, A. calamus builds a special association Acoro-Glycerietum maximae, described for the first time from Vojvodina, but discovered in the vegetation of Croatia too, where it grows all over the swampish parts of the dried backwater Tisina near the villages of Budisevo and Topolovac not far from Sisak (Croatia). Floristical composition showes table 1.
From the syntaxonomical point of view, the ass. Acoro-Glycerietum maximae is placed in the alliance Phragmition, the order Phragmitetalia and the class Phragmitetea.
