Sažetak

The paper presents the results of laboratory drying of apples in different shapes of the following apple varieties: Cripps Pink, Granny Smith, Jonagold, Idared, Golden Delicious and Braeburn. 63% of poll respondents were in favor of apple chips as the most desirable form of dried apple, 21% were in favor of little cobs and only 16% were in favor of apple sticks. The poll has shown that the most desirable variety for drying is Cripps Pink, then Granny Smith, Jonagold, Idared, Golden Delicious and the least desirable variety is Braeburn. The presented research results can be used while choosing apple varieties at raising new plantations of apples whose fruits are intended for drying.
