Sažetak

Citrus anthracnose is a disease caused by fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Penz.) Penz. & Sacc.) and C. acutatum J.H. Simmonds. These fungi attack all above ground parts of citrus fruits, but can cause most damage on the fruits in the field after the harvest.
During 2012 in the valley of Neretva River on location “Ušće” close to “Glog“ lakes there was recorded a very strong appearance of anthracnose on tangerines, and determined C. gloeosporioides as the causative agent. This case and seeking registration of fungicides for controlling anthracnose on tangerines for “minor uses” by the manufacturer suggest that the disease in Croatia may be economically significant and problematic in some localities and seasons. This paper describes the symptomatology and epidemiology of the disease with reference to the main measures of protection.
