GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE REGULATIONS FOR MEDICATED FEEDS

Sažetak

In this paper the comments are given on current good manufacturing practices for medicated feeds in the U.S.A. These regulations were published by Food & Drug Administration. Compliance with good manufacturing practices should insure, to the extent possible, that medicated feed will be proper in all respects as to drug content and labeling and furthermore, that medicated feed production will not compromise other medicated or non-medicated feeds. The similar regulations don not exist in Croatia. Until the time when our feed mills start operating according to the rules of the state or international institutions, compliance with good manufacturing practice is strongly recommended.
