WEED IMPURITIES IN STORED VEGETABLE SEED

Sažetak

The paper deals with the weed impurities in commercial vegetable seeds of 20 species, for which our regulations allow a certain number of weed impurites. A total of 458 purity tests are analised from the records of the Institute for Seed Research (1893 -1949 ). Seeds, or fruits, of 90 weed species were determined and 30 seeds, or fruits, of cultivated species, which makes a total of 120 warehouse impurities. This is the first work dealing with the weed impurities in vegetable seed for sowing in this country and more or less in the world too.
