INDIGENOUS VARIETIES OF FRUIT SPECIES IN CROATIA

Sažetak

13 abstracts have been prepared dealing with fruit species and varieties from etnographic writings dated by the end of 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th century. 11 writings were published in the journal "Zbornik za narodni život i običaje (Journal of Folk Living and Traditional Customes). The fruit species and varieties were listed in local dialects, and besides the name, some agronomic traits were described as well. These data could be very useful in germplasm collecting and characterization in the framework of the project "Croatian Bank of Plant Genes".
