Sažetak

In three-year studies we have studied tuber sprouting in a variant without sprouting (producing sprouts under controlled conditions) and with sprouting, ranging from 15,30,45,60 to 75 days with Desiree, Jaerla and Reasy cultivars. In relation to the variant without sprouting, the variant with 75 days of sprouting had the period from planting to shooting shortened for 9.33 days, number of plants was increased for 7066 sods per hectare, number of plants per single sod was increased for 3.31, percentage of tubers heavier than 100 grams increased for 13,51% and the yield was increased for 10143 kg/ha. The shortest time from planting to shooting had Jaerly cultivar, then came Reasy and the longest time had Desiree. The differences ranged from 0.56 -1.72 days. Desiree had greater number of plants than Jaerla for 232, and 328 single sods/ha more than Reasy cultivar. Desiree had greater number of plants in a single sod than Jaerly for 0,87, and 0.89 more than Reasy. Percentage of tubers heavier than 100 grams was the greatest with Jaerla, 2.73 more than Desiree, and 5.04 more than Reasy. Jaerla obtained higher yield than Desiree for 1451 kg/ha and 3972 kg/ha more than Reasy. Desiree had higher yield than Reasy for 2521 kg/ha.
